Aging parents that need extra attention is an unfortunate reality that many of us are facing. While I do the best that I can to spend as much time as possible, the time that I have is extremely limited because of my demanding job. I initially was not comfortable with the idea of hiring home health for my mother because I felt it was my responsibility to ensure her needs were met myself. I felt guilt about not being there for her and caring for her as she did for me as a child. After being put in a situation where I had no other options, I decided to give it a try and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

I reached out to Embracing Hearts In-Home Care feeling very anxious because this is something I’ve never had to do. The scheduler quickly put me at ease by explaining the services and making the initial appointment very easy. She took the time to listen to our needs and matched us with a caregiver who is patient and compassionate to my mother who can be very demanding. I never thought my mother would be accepting someone caring for her needs but unexpectedly came around in only two visits and now greets our caregiver like they are part of the family. I couldn’t be happier with Embracing Hearts!

I can not say enough amazing things about Embracing Hearts. My sister is on full disability and needs pretty much 24/7 care. She lives with my parents who are 70 and they were able to grocery shop and have a “lunch date” and have peace of mind that my sister was well taken care of.
